Each one needs its own plan for slope, drainage, and thickness, which is exactly why we meet you at the property before quoting. New driveways & full replacements
If your current driveway is cracking, alligatored, pitted, or was never laid on a real base, fresh asphalt is the clean start. We tear out the old surface, dig out any soft or failed material below it, place and compact sub-base aggregate, cut proper cross-slope for runoff, and lay hot mix at the right temperature so the finished mat actually seals. In a Colorado freeze-thaw climate, that last hour of rolling is what keeps water out of the matrix all winter.
Overlays: when they're the right call
Not every driveway needs a tear-out. If the base is still solid and the top mat is just faded and showing its age, an overlay gets you another 8 to 12 years at a fraction of the cost. We'll inspect the base, the edges, and the drainage, and give you the honest answer: overlay, patch, or full replace.
